The CLI is one self-contained binary of about 39 MB that carries its own runtime. No .NET install
needed, no SDK, no runtime, no ICU. Uninstalling is deleting the file.
Check the install
That prints the CLI version, the source-format version and the App Definition schema version. A
generated application pins its runtime to the version of the generator that wrote its project file,
so these numbers matter when you come back to a project later.
The runtime package
The runtime a generated application runs on: records, hooks, permissions, queries, the built-in
directory and the error wire.
dotnet build restores it like any other package.
--runtime source emits it into the project instead, which leaves the output with no feed to depend
on.
